July 19 – Day 69 – Wednesday

Psalm 78:6-7
That the generation to come might know them,
even the children which should be born;
who should arise and declare them to their children:
That they might set their hope in God,
and not forget the works of God, but keep his commandments:

These were commanded to the fathers – the patriarchs and primitive Hebrews, that they should make them known to their children, who should make them known to the generation that was to come, whose children should also be instructed that they might declare them to their children; to the end that their hope might be in God, that they might not forget his works, and might keep his commandments: that they might not be as their fathers, but have their heart right and their spirit steadfast with God, . . . We hadn’t been on the road very long when the Farmer
realized his left-extended mirror was missing.
We stopped at 2 auto part type stores in Santa Rosa

In a Municipal Park at Santa Rosa

no, mirror

Not much is happening when even the billboards are bare.

Then we began to see these

Cline’s was going on in a big way since 1934

If you want to visit Cline’s
it’s at Interstate 40 and Hwy 285

And they are polite.
We didn’t stop.

On to Albuquerque, on Central Avenue
an RV supply had what the farmer needed;
he installed one right there in the driveway.

Driving on down Central on a thimble hunt

at Antique Specialties, our first stop,
I found this little gold pretty one

I had remembered NM as dry, dirty and depressing.
This thimble will remind me that my memories are not always accurate.
I was pleased out find I was mistaken.

I’ve enjoyed the desert of New Mexico.

Rocky New Mexico
We have to admire the tenacity of the first travelers
through this unfriendly country,

At 3:51 pm, we crossed the Continental Divide.

USA RV park was
asphalt and gravel,
neat and clean and
all units parked close together doors facing,
(First itme for that arrangement)

My view
Time to do laundry again,

Later I found a neat night sky.

The Morning and Evening of the sixty-ninth day.
