July 24 – Day 74 – Monday

July 24 – Day 74 – Monday

Psalm 84:11
For the LORD God is a sun and shield:
the LORD will give grace and glory:
no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.

To illuminate, invigorate, and warm; to protect and defend all such as prefer him and his worship to everything the earth can produce.
To pardon, purify, and save the soul from sin: and then he will give glory to the sanctified in his eternal kingdom; and even here he withholds no good thing from them that walk uprightly. Well, therefore, might the psalmist say, Clarke’s Commentary

“O Lord of hosts, blessed is the man that trusteth in thee.”
Psalm 84:12

Our morning was cloudy, grey and raining,
not hard but consistent until about 1:00pm.

Then the Farmer went out and puttered around the Church property,
trimming, raking and weeding.
Activities high on his want to do list.

I left about 11:00 for Tempe, AZ
(which is like Elk Grove to Carmichael)
and had lunch with my cousin, Trisha Topper.
We haven’t been together very much as adults
so it was a getting to know you – becoming friends.
My Favorite kind of time.

I found a Wholefood’s in Tempe and bought ice cream.

I went on a thimble hunt in Chandler, AZ
(Tempe to Chandler is like Carmichael to Fair Oaks)
and had success at Merchants Square

The black dot marks the hiding place.

See the sun burst design, that is on the Arizona flag.
ANNND, see the waffles – I didn’t make it to the Waffle House,
maybe next time.

A little necessary shopping at the outlets
about 32 miles north and east from Chandler,
I’m not sure any thing is close in Phoenix area.

Home again, Home again

watching this beautiful sunset and

enjoying my dinking around day,

Sequence was on the agenda again.
we started 39 the Farmer to 37 the Grannie

I won all the games until the last one
the Farmer ended the game with his 1st win of the evening.

The Morning and the Evening of the seventy-fourth day.

July 1 – Day 52 – Saturday

July 1 – Day 52 – Saturday

Psalm 58:11
So that a man shall say,
Verily there is a reward for the righteous:
verily he is a God that judgeth in the earth.

That is, people, seeing these just judgments of God, shall say, There is a reward . . . to the righteous man. He has not sown his seed in vain; he has not planted and watered in vain: he has the fruit of his labors, he eats the fruit of his doings. Clarke’s Commentary

Saturday spent in errands.

Getting the car serviced.

Moving trailer to new spot
(some kind of mix-up)

Purchasing new cord between my phone and my computer

and Groceries.

A nap

More Sequence, we are tied again 16 all.

My Morning and Evening of the fifty-second day.

June 28 – Day 49 – Wednesday

June 28 – Day 49 – Wednesday

Psalm 55:1
Give ear to my prayer, O God;
and hide not thyself from my supplication.

The frequency of such petitions shows the great earnestness of David’s soul. If God did not hear and help, he knew he could not succeed elsewhere; therefore he continues to knock at the gate of God’s mercy. Clarke’s Commentary

Our second day on Jekyll Island
Nothing exciting.happened.

I did laundry in the morning, sheets, throw rugs, and clothes.
At 9:30 already warm and sticky
Clothes in washer,
I sit in the car with engine having devotions

what I see.
One load in a dryer didn’t dry at all. Grrrr
Change dryers and another $1.75 and another 45 minutes.

We put away clothes and with the Farmer’s help
remade the bed, clean sheets with feel good tonight.

We went  grocery shopping.

We sat outside,
listened to the birds, people and dogs
dozed and hoped for no sunburn,
read, ate dinner, and checked
to see the world was still turning,
according to Facebook, it was.

Our chairs were Christmas present from Mary.

thanks.

Sequence was the game tonight.

the Farmer is ahead 10 games to 6.

Good night.

The Morning and the Evening of the forty-ninth day.

June 27 – Day 48 – Tuesday

June 27 – Day 48 – Tuesday

Psalm 54:7
For he hath delivered me out of all trouble:
and mine eye hath seen his desire upon mine enemies.

My eye hath seen my enemies – they have been so near that I could plainly discover them. I have seen them, and yet they were not permitted to approach me. God has been my Deliverer. Clarke’s Commentary

Jekyll Island.

We stayed here our last journey, 2007.
It was October,
park almost empty
weather cool. . .

2017 JUNE
Thunder storms
hot and muggy
lots of people
kids on bikes
and dogs.
Can you guess which month I like the best?

I slept in.
the Farmer kept his normal schedule.

I wrote 2 blog posts.
and checked the worlds
of Facebook, gmail and Instagram,
and used up all my game lives.

the Farmer and I played Sequence.

I even forgot to take a picture out my window
(I know, boring)

The Morning and the Evening of the forty-eighth day.
